(A) Differentiate between Deterministic and Stochastic Environment.
(B) Define an Agent. What are the Key characteristics of an Agent?
(C) Define Artificial Intelligence? Why is it important?
(D) Define Crossword Puzzle as a Single Agent Environment.
(E) Explain the concept of PEAS for medical diagnosis.

(A) Solve the Water-Jug problem. Give the state space for this problem and mention the control structure to solve the problem.
(B) Prove the breadth first search is a special case of Uniform Cost Search.
(C) Mention the Heuristic Function for TIC-TAC-TOE Game.
(D) In a search algorithm what are the four ways of evaluating the performance of an algorithm.
(E) Differentiate between Depth First Search and Breadth First Search.
(F) What is meant by Belief State? Explain the Prediction Stage of Vacuum World.

(A) What are the Heuristics and what is their importance.
(B) Explain Best First Search Algorithm.
(C) Solve the Puzzle.
Once upon a time a farmer went to a market and purchased a fox, a goose, and a bag of beans. On his way home, the farmer came to the bank of river and rented a boat. But in crossing the river by boat, the farmer could carry only himself and a single one of his purchases: the fox, the goose, or the goose, or the bag of beans. If left unattended together, the fox would eat the goose would eat the beans. The farmer’s challenge was to carry himself and his purchases to the far bank of the river, leaving each purchase intact. How did he do it?
(D) How does Steepest Ascent Hill Climbing Find Solutions?
(E) Given the following search tree, apply the alpha-beta running algorithm to it and show the search tree that would be built by this algorithm. Make sure that you show where the alpha and beta cuts are applied and which parts of the search tree are pruned as a result.
